Propargite acts primarily through contact and provides effective knockdown and residual suppression of mites. Hexythiazox acts mainly on mite eggs and immature stages by interfering with their development and reproduction. The combination therefore provides complementary action for both immediate pest suppression and reduction of subsequent mite populations.
